I’m back with the newest ECW review.We begin the night with
Tommy Dreamer and Kelly Kelly vs. Mike Knox and Layla
First off, I want to say that the attire Kelly Kelly was awesome. I mean it really showed her “ass”sets. In the words of Joey Styles, OH MY GOD! Anyway back to the action. This match had the divas in the ring for most of the match. Kelly Kelly hit the Rocker Dropper on Layla for the 1,2,3 Again I can’t stress this enough, end this feud between Kelly Kelly and Layla. It’s seriously enough already. After the match, Knox attacked Dreamer with the Corkscrew Neckbreaker.. I got to say I’m digging the facial hair Knox has.
Winner: Tommy Dreamer and Kelly Kelly

3 ½ stars for Kelly Kelly’s attire
The only thing better would be her naked.

John Morrison vs. Jimmy Wang Yang w/ Shannon Moore
The Miz was on commentary. This was an ok match. The usually you would get from these two. Looks like they are going to push for Moore and Yang to become a formable team for Morrison and Miz just like earlier this year Yang picks up the win with the Moonsault. Nice to see this underrated superstar giving a clean win like this over a former ECW Champion.

Kofi Kingston vs. Shelton Benjamin
The Jamaican Superstar had some good sportsmen like comments towards Benjamin before this match but The Gold Standard wanted none of it. Good Match out between these two but way too short. This two had some things going for them in this match. This was the first true challenge for Kofi. At one point, Kofi got some major air with his dropkick when Benjamin went for a move off the top rope. Kofi landed a Jamaican Buzzsaw Kick to finish this. MAJOR UPSET in my opinion.

Mark Henry vs. Nunzio
Complete squash. I like Mark Henry but he only works well with certain people. I think they could do a lot more with his character then what they have been.

Cutting Edge: With special guest Kane
Edge had his two Edge heads with him. Edge talked about Kane being a thorn in his side since he stole Lita away from Kane. Edge blamed Kane for ruining they’re wedding and injuring him last July. Edge said that families need to stay together and that’s exactly want his Extent Family (Guerrero and Edge Family) does unlike Kane and Undertaker who have a on again off again relationship. Kane said at Backlash his brother and he will eliminate everyone in the family except for Vickie Guerrero who he promised that his brother and he would take care of. Kane manically laughed and attacked Edge and the Edge Heads. Chavo Guerrero and his Bodyguard Bam Neely came out to help the family. They all held Kane down so that Chavo could give One man con-chair-to to Kane’s leg.
Overall: 1 ½ stars out of 4
Matches were way too short.
The Highlight was the Cutting Edge

This is the first ECW show since Wrestlemania.  The show starts off with Kane in the ring.    He said that ECW has been a place of a lot of the most exciting, spectacular and brutal moments but the ECW fans haven’t seen anything yet.  CM Punk came out and hinted in cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase later that night.  Chavo Guerrero came out and said how it wasn’t fair that he had to prepare for 24 different superstars.  Kane and Punk insulted Chavo about how short his match was.  Chavo said that tonight Kane and Punk would be partners to face Shelton Benjamin and himself.  Shelton came out and said that it was luck that got Punk that briefcase and Punk told him that he can call himself whatever he wants but he cant call himself Money in the Bank.
Stevie Richard vs. Mike Knox
Before this match, there was a video clip that showed Knox attacking Stevie Richards backstage and the other way around.  I actually enjoyed this match.  I don’t remember Mike Knox being good at all but he really isn’t that bad of a wrestler.  The ending saw Knox hitting that corkscrew neckbreaker. This feud looks like it will continue.

Tazz then interviewed Colin Delaney.  He said by next Wrestlemania he hopes to be included in the big show and have a WWE contract. Armando Estrada came out and put over Delaney.  He offered him a contract on the spot.  Colin was ecstatic.  Estrada forgot to tell Delaney something, “April Fools.”  He said that if he could win his match tonight, he has a contract. It’s the Big Show.
Colin Delaney vs. Big Show
Delaney tried to walk away from the Show but he couldn’t. The Big Show made him pass out to a cobra clutch.

Chavo Guerrero and Shelton Benjamin vs. CM Punk and Kane
Punk and Shelton start this match off.  This was a very good match.  Each one of these superstars works well together.  Chavo Guerrero isn’t the biggest superstar in the world.  He is about 5’9 and he has to go against Kane who is the 7’0.  It is very hard to capture a great match with that much of a height difference but in this match, it worked well.  Chavo used his speed and hit quick.  I can see these two superstars having a very good title match that last longer then 8 seconds.  The ending saw Punk hitting the GTS on the Gold Standard     
Winner: CM Punk and Kane

Kane vs. Elijah Burke
Well once again they put Burke in a jobber match. Burke is so much better then the WWE makes him as. I truly believe Burke deserves to be in that Money in the Bank ladder match. The ending to this match was Burke going for the Elijah Express getting caught in the Chokeslam.

Promo: We saw Estrada talking to Mark Henry as Chavo Guerrero walks in and asks what that was about. Estrada says that Mark Henry will take place in the Battle Royal. As they were talking, Colin Delaney comes and asks for an ECW Contract. Chavo insulted him and his partner Tommy Dreamer. Estrada apologized for Chavo’s words and booked a match between the two later that night.

Kofi Kingston vs. James Curtis

Kofi looked good in this match as he does always. Looks like James is well liked in the WWE. This is his 3^rd or 4^th time on ECW. The ending saw Kofi lifting himself over the back of Curtis into a Jamaican Buzzsaw Kick.

MORRISON & MIZ & BENJAMIN VS. JESSE &FESTUS & CM PUNK
This was a very good 6-man tag. This 6 work well together and the team of Jesse and Festus are very good. Festus really impressed me in this match. He is a ball of fire when he gets that hot tag. Festus caught the Miz with the Samoan Flapjck type move.
Winner: JESSE &FESTUS & CM PUNK

COLIN DELANEY VS. CHAVO GUERERO
IF COLIN WINS, HE GETS AN ECW CONTRACT
This was a typical squash match with Delaney getting minor offensive. Chavo ended this with a Gory Bomb after a failed attempted at the frog splash.
Winner: CHAVO GUERRERO

Final Thoughts: Where is Balls Mahoney? I’m sick and tired of Elijah Burke being a jobber. He is a better then most superstar in the WWE. I don’t understand why they couldn’t give him Jeff Hardy’s spot in the Money in the Bank. I think he is right up there with CM Punk.
Just so that everyone knows, I am a huge Chavo fan and I love that he is getting used both on Smackdown and ECW. It is a bit weird that he is a jobber on Smackdown and an unbeatable superstar on ECW.
Final Rating 2 stars out of 4 you could miss this one.
