ECW Review: Tag Champions impressive, same old feud
ECW comes to you from Roanoke, Virginia this week. So, grab a drink and let The Eagle tell you all about it…….What a way to start off the night with two beautiful women fighting for bragging rights. The Layla and Kelly Kelly feud has been stepped up a notch. This was an impressive showing by both women. It looked like Kelly might be handed a loss but then ECW original Balls Mahoney came out and lit a fire under the blonde bombshells butt. Looks like Kelly
Kelly showed her rival who was the “woman” of ECW.….Jesse and Festus continue to impress The Eagle even with their loss this week against the ECW Tag Champions, John Morrison and The Miz. The champs are looking good and they may make their mark as one of the great tag teams of ECW.…Shelton Benjamin came out to explain why he is in ECW. He said he isn’t here to make friends but to raise the bar. He warned everyone in the locker room including the ECW Champion CM Punk. Benjamin made quick work of Shannon Moore. Personally The Eagle thinks they could have made this match a little more interesting. Moore has talent and can take Benjamin to the limit if WWE allowed him to….Is The Eagle the only one getting tired of Kane vs Big Daddy V? WWE has a few other big men like Mark Henry and The Great Khali. So, why not throw them in the mix instead of having the same match every week. Yeah, this week it was a Extreme Rules match but is that really that different from every other week? To WWE’s credit Mark Henry did come down and help Big Daddy squash The Big Red Machine which is the only reason Big V got the victory. Kane is one of the most underrated wrestlers I have seen in a long time. He goes out there and takes it to limit and isn’t afraid to job to make someone look good. There is no reason why he shouldn’t be in a meaningful feud with someone. After The Undertaker takes the title again he should feud with Kane one more time.

It was an average show. There was nothing special about this weeks show but it wasn’t completely boring either. I still think they should have let Shelton Benjamin and Shannon Moore go longer. That could have been a great match. The Kane/Big Daddy V feud is getting old real quick. How many times can these two wrestler in the ECW main event?
Catch and Release matches
Catch…. The ECW Tag Team Champions John Morrison/The Miz vs Jesse/Festus. This was a great match. Both teams have the ability to be a great tag team if WWE allows them. Hopefully we will see more matches with these 4 in the future.
Release… Big Daddy V vs Kane. Like I said above… its getting old. Its time to end this feud and have both men move on. I think WWE’s problem is that they have nothing for either of these men to do or at least they don’t think they do. The Eagle is not gonna bombard you with my ideas but I’ll throw one out there… turn Khali face and have him feud with Big Daddy V or have Kane and Khali team up and go against Big V and Mark Henry. Just an idea.
