Nacho Libre scores second at box office

Nacho Libre finished its first week of release #2 movie at the box office, taking in $27.513 million, good for runner-up position to Pixar’s Cars $31.181 – who retained its leadership standing through its second week of release. Over at RottenTomatoes.com, Nacho Libre has received only a 38 percent approval rating, with an average score of 5.2/10. Uh-oh. Not that these polls are scientific in any way (and God knows, comedy is the most-subjective of film genres – you either laugh, or you don’t) but it appears Nacho Libre doesn’t exactly have people doing sunset-flips over how good it is. Mr. Mal has yet to see it, but it looking for people that have. Feel free to leave comments at the bottom of this post! Again, Mal won’t exactly be pimpin’ too many flicks here at WrestlersRamblings, but any movie about a Mexican masked-wrestler has got to receive my support – I mean, Mal would really be risking his Luchador union card being revoked otherwise.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve heard it’s not very good, which is a completed disappointment, especially since it combines the people from Napoleon Dynamite with wrestling…a combo I would never imaging failing. As soon as I see it, I’ll let you know what I think.
As for now, I can’t get the part of the preview out of my head where Jack Black says “Nacchooooooo!”
And by the way, love the redesign. Wish I was this web savvy.

PizzaSteve - PLEASE tell me that you saw RAW last night with the return of DX (along with two very special versions of the Spirit Squad). Mal doesn’t want to ruin it if you haven’t, but you HAVE to catch a replay of this show. You’ll know what I’m talking about. I think TSN replays it again early Wednesday morning at 3:30 a.m. Set your Tivo!! Okay Bye!!

Hey Lex! Thanks for the kind words on the redesign. I agree. And once again, Mr. Mal had nothing to do with it. My hats off to our designer, Matt. He gets the full pop. It’s his handiwork.
As for Nacho Libre? You know, don’t let reviews sway ya one way or the other. Again, comedic movies are subjective. I mean, is there anyone who would tell you that Dumb and Dumber is a “good” movie? Mal avoided seeing that one forever. And when I finally did? We had to rewind parts that we were missing from laughing so hard. You never know. I’ll be seeing Nacho Libre sometime this weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Yes Mr Mal, I saw the entire show and I also think Mr McMahon loves Roosters!! That was probably one of the funniest RAWs I’ve seen in a long time! DX Rules!!!!!!!! Okay, bye!

Dont go see it!! It was in my opinion the absolute worst movie I have ever seen. It is boring, not funny and I couldnt wait for it to be over!! Okay, bye!

Better late than never, but Mr. Mal really like Nacho Libre. I’ll write more in post sometime. But now? Sleepy time.
