RAW review: No HHH, no resolution to McMahon offspring

Folk’s there’s been a development in the McMahon illegitimate child investigation. This may come as surprise, but it’s a boy. Okay, I am just playing with you there. We all know who it is (at least we think we know, EagleMr. Mal’s not too sure yet. It just seems too obvious - Mr. Mal). After Raw went off the air this week I came to a conclusion: this storyline is dragging out too long. The biggest sign of this is the reaction Ken Kennedy is getting from the fans. If you haven’t noticed already he is getting cheered. The Eagle says its time to make the announcement and move on with the storyline.

As you know from my past columns I am big on pushes. Whether they are character, feud, or PPV pushes it doesn’t matter, they are all important. WWE has really stepped up their game in pushing the SummerSlam PPV. They did wait until the last minute to get Umaga in the mix. (More on that in a moment). Randy Orton has stepped up his game in a big way. He has dominated Cena the last few weeks. I don’t know whether this means a title change this Sunday or not. It seems to predictable but who wouldn’t want to see Triple H vs Randy Orton for the title in the near future? Speaking of Umaga, he is getting a decent babyface push and I am loving it. His match with Carlito and Kennedy at SummerSlam should be a good one. It should be interesting to see how the fans react due to what I have stated above.

Slowly but surely Cody Rhodes is looking better. He doesn’t look 100% comfortable in the ring yet but that will come with time. If he has a heart like his Dad he will be going places. I am impressed with how WWE has handled his push. History as proven that they either push too fast or too slow but this time they are doing it just right . . . Personally, I was disappointed that Triple H wasn’t on Raw this week. I was waiting for him to interrupt the fake Triple H segment. I am interested to see how King Booker’s gimmick changes after SummerSlam. My thought is he will go back to his original self . . . I was looking at the card for SummerSlam and I noticed that’s theres something missing, tag matches. I will say it again… WWE needs to get more tag teams - period!!! The womans division is really picking up. A battle royal to determine the number 1 contender is a great idea. Having all of the contenders turn on each other was a nice twist . . . The Santino Marella/Ron Simmons feud is forming nicely. This weeks date had some great highlights with Simmons getting the last laugh. I’m glad they are doing something decent with Marella.

Not a bad Raw heading into SummerSlam. A lot of feuds were pushed and some new ones started. It should be a great PPV. I must admit I am having a hard time making my picks for this Sunday. The card isn’t as predictable as it has been. This is The Eagle - til next time. Keep it real my friends.

Mr Mal I was thinking about your comment and you maybe right. What if they changed their minds after it leaked out who the child was. I wouldnt put it past them. We know how Mr McMahon loves us.. the internet community.
I just dont see who else it could be. If they did change their mind then they got everyone confused. Including the fans cheering Kennedy at the events. My question is .. how do they know if he will be a face or heel if he is the son?
I just found it odd that they automatically decided he was going to turn.
