Saturday Night’s Main Event cranks-up SummerSlam hype

While most people were out having a good time this past Saturday, The Eagle was perched at home continuing the McMahon child investigation. Folks this was Saturday Night’s Main Event . . . The search for McMahon’s long lost child actually made this show interesting. It didn’t over take the show but made things interesting.  Having a few of the superstars come out and give Vince a hard time was played very well. Of course Stone Cold being one of my favorites I was glad to see him out there raising hell . . . I never thought I would say this but the Great Khali has improved the last few weeks.  For the first time since he debuted I am actually looking forward to one of his matches. Don’t be surprised to see Kane and Finlay are added to the card. Personally I like this feud.  In the opening match neither Kane, Batista, Finlay, nor the Great Khali looked weak.

WWE is finally using Carlito’s talent again. He is a gifted athlete who knows how to play the crowd. By the beginning of next year I see him in the contention for the U.S. or Intercontinental Title. Maybe even the WWE Title. Time will tell . . . I will say it again and again, whether you like him or not you cannot deny that Randy Orton is talented and knows how to sell his character.  I don’t agree with Orton’s behavior outside the ring but inside the ring he is championship material. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win at SummerSlam . . . I am not always a big fan of the celebrities getting in the ring with wrestlers but the Holyfield/MVP/Hardy storyline was the highlight of the night . . . When you put CM Punk and John Morrison in the same ring you can’t go wrong. Add The Boogeyman and Big Daddy V and you got a great match. I like all four of these men and with the right pushes they are going places in the WWE.

Not a bad Saturday Nights Main Event. It was one of the better ones this year if not the best. Of course nothing compares to the old days. This is The Eagle and I’m out of here!!!!
