The Eagle’s Royal Rumble Picks
Before I even give my predictions….let me say that this PPV looks solid on paper. I am looking forward to the outcome of every match. Some are even hard to pick because they could go either way. But I’ll take a crack at it.
CHRIS JERICHO VS. JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD
This should be a great match. It would be better if both were in their prime. The Eagle is thinking that Jericho will find a way to win. He is mad and ready to fight. Now, on the other hand JBL has had the upper hand since the beginning of this feud.

Ric Flair’s Career on the line
MONTEL VONTAVIOUS PORTER vs. RIC FLAIR
This should be a classic match. I am in agreement with a lot of people that MVP is a mirror image of Flair in his younger days. The thing that I am wondering is why the US Title isn’t on the line. I am hoping that before this retirement angle is over that WWE gives Flair one more run with the gold. I think Flair will use one of his old tricks to get the win…. Hands on the rope, pulling of the tights or a low blow. Heck he can win by DQ or count out and still keep his career. Either way I don’t think it will be a clean win.

World Heavyweight Championship
EDGE vs. REY MYSTERIO
This will also be a match to remember. Edge’s heel character is second to none. Whether you like him or not you have to give him props for what he does in the ring. I am pretty confident that Edge will take this one and head into WrestleMania as World Champion.

WWE Championship
RANDY ORTON vs. JEFF HARDY
With the emotion and the awesome build of Jeff Hardy’s character this match should be awesome. Randy is finally developing into the character he was supposed to be back when he won the title the first time and Jeff …. Well he is on his way to the top. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jeff hold the title by the end of the year but not right now.

30 Man Over the Top Rope Royal Rumble Match
Now, this actually has a lot of hype going into it. I see 3 possible winners. The first one… which my friend from The Pros From The Palace chose. The build up makes sense. He is small and can avoid most of the guys. I am hoping this is not the case because it would mess up the title picture. The second is Triple H. He is getting a push for the WWE Title. We all know that he will get it … just a matter of when. The third is The Undertaker. The Eagle wants to see Edge vs Undertaker at Mania with not only the Worlds Title on the line but both undefeated streaks. My opinion is that the plans for No Way Out determine who wins the Rumble. The poster shows Hardy with what I am guessing is the Elimination Chamber in the back ground. If this is the case then Taker will win putting all the Raw guys in the Chamber for their chance at Orton. Like I said this is just a guess along with rumors. I personally think that’s more likely with Triple H winning the Chamber and going on to Mania to face Orton.
