The Saga continues….in the Impact Zone; Angle/Joe
First off is the aftermath of Destination X which leads to tonights main event between Christian Cage and a partner of his choice against the reigning Tag Team Champions Tomko and AJ Styles
for a grudge match. An update on Karen Angle with her big announcement, X Division qualifying match and Samoa Joe run for the title. The possible initiation of Petey Williams into the Big Pappa Pump Stable. At the upcoming pay per view Lockdown in April will be a four on four match with Christian Cage as one team captain and Tomko as the other. This will be a good match…stay tuned for more on that.
Team 3D declares war on the locker room and anyone else in the way.
So we start out the night with the X Scape qualifying match with Maple Leaf Muscle w/ Rakka Khan against Curry Man. I have to say that Curry Man is looking good and is very entertaining as an in ring performer. He reminds me of Doink the Clown from the WWE fame. Petey has to work on more moves to get a win allow in this one he falls short and the Smokin’ Hot Curry Man pins him 1 2 3.
After the Match Scott Steiner handcuffs Petey Williams and puts a hood over him as the initiation begins…
Next up is Team 3D making there ultimatum that they will take out anyone in their way and later in the show we see just that as they attack a reality TV star from Survivor.….Samoa Joe put out his mark on Kurt Angle along with a statement about whether he wins the championship or its his last match. I would say its time to pass the title to the big man and Joe takes the title on Lockdown on April 13th. A shout out to all who supported him from the beginning including Kevin Nash and the fans out there.
Black Reign and Rellik take on the Motor City Machine Guns. This one is a great match a little one sided but, that is too be expected as the monsters make mincemeat out of the demotic duo. No contest Rellik and Black Reign get the win. Super Eric comes to the ring and play his part a new direction for him as this super hero character develops I think about time for this one as he shows that he is not the wimp he has been for weeks.
Christian Cage continues to look for a partner for tonight’s tag match. The current TNA Heavy weight Champion Kurt Angle takes on Kaz in a non title match. This one was full of near falls and Kaz almost pulls this one out. But in the end the submission is what puts him away. After the match Karen Angle makes her announcement to Kurt about her wanting a separation and Kurt is like “so what, you mean no distractions while he prepares for the upcoming match against Samoa Joe. I would say that this is a way to pull Karen from the story line for a while which is good.
Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt with Christy Hemme The Rock n Roll Infection against LAX Homicide and
Hernandez with Salinas in a mixed tag match. With a little help of a guitar the Rock n Roll Infection take the victory.
Anglina Love and Velvet Sky try to make Roxxi Leveau “pretty” but in the end she is beaten up and make up applied to the aftermath.
Anglina Love takes on Gail Kim my personal favorite in the TNA Knockout Division but, in this one it just shows how this division is growing and getting better as the weeks go on. The bout is leaning in Gail Kim’s favor and she is showing her skills in the ring for another win. This match may be a win for Gail Kim but, she is outnumbered by the other side as Angina Love and Velvet Sky take her out and then Awesome Kong heads to the ring in a blind sided attack and a beat down. She is really taking the beating when finally ODB comes to the ring for the save with chair in hand.
And for the main event we have Christian Cage The Instant Classic and Kevin Nash against the reigning TNA Tag Team Champions Tomko and the Prince of Phenomenal AJ Styles. Tomko is the dominant player in this one as he gets the double team Cage and that’s when Big Kevin Nash enters to kick some tail and power bomb the competition…..Of course Kurt Angle gets involved as its his Angle Alliance in the ring. Security sends him packing to the locker room and the match continues. This one end too quick as Nash and Cage get the upper hand and that’s when Team 3D comes in and starts the chaos which gives Nash and Cage the win by disqualification. They go to work on Kevin Nash’s knee with a chair he feels the pain…..Anyway Team 3D starts to beat up the Survivor Star and gives him the chair shot to end the show.
A very action packed episode and we’ll see what is going to happen next in the Impact Zone next week.
