WWE Raw Review: JBL vs Jercho, Hardy vs HBK
Hey folks… it’s your favorite bird again… The Eagle. I am still trying to get over this week’s Monday Night Raw. My personal opinion is that it was one of the best WWE Raw’s in a while. The matches were solid and they made sense…..The show did open up with Vince McMahon vs his bastard son Hornswoggle in a no DQ match. Finley was warned not to help his friend or he would be fired. Finley wouldn’t listen and came to aid of his little friend anyways. He ended up hitting Vince over the head with his shillelagh. Vince was going to fire him but decided that the better punishment was to face Hornswoggle next week in a steel cage match. This is leading to a Vince McMahon vs Finley at WrestleMania but it’s taken to long to get there.…..JBL and Chris Jericho are continuing their feud this week with one heck of a 
match. If they would have wrestled like this before I wouldn’t have complained about the feud. I am thinking this feud will take us into Mania. I think WWE needs something else for Jericho to do. After the Y2J win…. Umaga came out and proved that he is not on anyone’s side but his own by giving both men a Samoan Spike.
Now I didn’t say that Raw was perfect. What they did with the Jericho/JBL match they messed up with their new incest storyline. Paul and Katie Burchill were brought up to do a brother/sister incest storyline. For some odd reason Vince has always wanted to do one. He even went as far as to suggest that he and his daughter Stephanie do an incest storyline. I still don’t know who Brian Kendrick made mad in the back but once again he got squashed when he took on Burchill.….WWE Champion Randy Orton wanted to soften John Cena up before No Way Out so he made a match between Cena and Mark Henry. As expected Cena proved that he isn’t injured and that he is ready for Orton when he made Henry tap to the STFU.…..Mr. Kennedy demanded that Ric Flair decide whether he wanted to forfeit his match or face him at No Way Out. Well, Flair isn’t one to back down so he came out and informed Kennedy that he will not forfeit and that at No Way Out he will walk out a winner and still a wrestler. The Nature Boy paid for confronting Kennedy with a kick to the knee. I think this will be a decent match but could have used a better build.….Maria has one week to choose between PlayBoy and Santino Marella. At least that’s what Santino had to say this week after Maria lost to Melina. I want to know something… what happened to Melina? She was a dominate Women’s Champion and now she isn’t feuding at all. There is no doubt that she can get the job done so why isn’t she in the title picture?
They did a video package featuring Triple H because he wasn’t able to make it to the tapings. In case you haven’t heard yet… The Game’s brother in law passed away suddenly last weekend. That is why he missed the Raw tapings. We here at Wrestlersramblings.com send our condolences to Triple H, his sister and the entire family…..The main event this week, Jeff Hardy vs Shawn Michaels, could very well go down as one of the best matches of the year. These two put on one heck of a show for us. Hardy proved why he is climbing the ladder by taking everything HBK had to offer and pinning him. This looks like it will set up a HBK heel turn so that he can face Ric Flair at WrestleMania.

A great show… would have made a few changes. The only changes I would have made are the incest storyline and the build up for the McMahon/Finley feud. Otherwise it was a great Raw. All the matches especially Jericho/ JBL and Hardy/HBK were solid and very entertaining.
