WWE Superstar being wooed for superhero leading role?
Word has it that Marvel Comics — the company behind such iconic figures as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and the X-Men — apparently are pushing for the idea of WWE Superstar HHH to star in their upcoming Thor project. The hammer-wielding god of Thunder has a cult following eagerly anticipating the first full-length live action flick to feature the character — but the news of a pro wrestler possibly being cast has met with lukewarm reviews. No stranger to the silver screen, Hunter Hearst Helmsley had a major role in Blade: Trinity. As to what extent these rumors are (or aren’t true) only time will tell — but that hasn’t stopped the fanboy circuit from chiming in on the possibility. Let us pray this is rumour and nothing more. What, outside of his girly long hair, is similar about Marvel’s Thor and HHH???

Well, ah . . . let me see . . . they both do the pedigree as their finisher? Uhm . . . they both do that cool “spit-water-so-it-looks-like-mist” thang when entering the ring? They both have a brother named Loki?
Ya got me . . . what can I tell ya? Sometimes the evil eye can’t see the logic behind things like this.

This Eagle disagrees with both you, respectfully of course. I think it would do Triple H some good to take this part. Triple H can act… this will be a challenging role but I think he can do it.
Does the fact that I like Triple H and disagree with most of the criticism he is given.. Well maybe.

I’m sure it would do HHH some good. But it certainly wouldn’t do the character of Thor any good, nor the film I would suspect.
First off Thor is a good looking dude. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is not a handsome man.
Secondly Thor speaks like Kenneth Branagh in Henry the V. I can’t see the ‘Blue Blood’ dealing with that kind of dialog too well….
If they want to go with an unknown then that is something HHH has going for himself. Outside of wrestling cirlcles he is pretty much an unknown commodity.

I think he can pull it off if he has the right coach to help him with his voice.
But this will be a role that will break him or make him as an actor.
I believe that he can nail it. He just might shock us. Look at Robert Downey Jr. Nobody wanted him to play Iron Man and look at the job he did.
I think Triple H will get the part, but he will have to dedicate a lot to the project and I think he will.
